At UK Timber our solid wood doors are hand-crafted in the UK by expert joiners. This framed and ledged door is made in solid American red oak. Construction: a solid frame of stiles and rails with vertical infill boards (four boards on a 610 mm door, six on a 915 mm door) held by horizontal ledges; the bottom rail sits behind the boards.

  • Prestige range: 40 mm thick. Made from 20 mm boards: frame laminated from two 20 mm boards; infill boards, ledges 20 mm.
  • American red oak is completely durable internally.
  • Character grade has more natural features such as knots, all filled for a smooth finish; Prime grade has fewer knots for a cleaner look.
